Privacy Policy

Book FM is a personal audiobook reader. This policy explains exactly what it stores and who can see it. It is short because the app collects very little.

What we collect

If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We request no other Google permissions — we cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Contacts or Calendar, and we never ask for them.

The app also stores the reading data you create: your position in each chapter, your highlights, your notes, your bookmarks, your categories, and your display settings.

What we do not collect

Where it is stored

Without sign-in, everything stays in your browser's local storage on that device and never leaves it. If you sign in, your reading data is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) so it can follow you between devices. Row-level security means each account can only ever read and write its own row — no other user, signed in or not, can reach your data.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your data. The only third parties involved are the infrastructure providers that run the service: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (website hosting) and Google (sign-in only, if you choose it).

Deleting your data

Sign out and clear your browser data to remove the local copy. To delete the synced copy, email the address below and we will delete your row and your account; there is nothing retained afterwards.

Children

Book FM is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
